Dual Duel

I was editing the template for this website when I realized it'd be easier if I could run a dual display. That way I could have one template and preview in one monitor, and another template and preview in another monitor.

I've tried this before, but this time I'm actually doing it because I need to, not because I can. Plus, a friend just instant messaged me photos of his new Boss pedal and Marshall amp; I need bragging rites.

Here's the photo: The Dual Setup

Aside from the annoyance of having maximized windows stretching the whole 2048, this works pretty good. And considering that the Web Developer plugin for Firefox allows you to adjust the window size with a button, I can set it at 1024x768 then just move the window to fit in one monitor or the other. The Windows Taskbar does stretch the whole width, which is a nice thing.

The big downside is the monitor on the right is 60Hz, so seeing that out of the corner of you eye gets quite annoying.

Another Template Preview

Right, for all those of you who have been watching:

Here's the latest template.

Hopefully something will come out of this one. I'm working on synthesizing a template that incorporates that navigation bar and the features I enjoy from this template and another one I've seen. After that, the last thing would be to make it significantly more readable and aesthetic.

It's late, and I've been listening to Journey's Greatest Hits all day, so I best be getting to sleep before this really starts affecting me.

Alibris :: Part II

Alright! My first book from Alibris arrived today! It's the right edition, so I'm stoked. Boy, it was packaged like it was a collectable. Which, I suppose it is, because it is a first edition. I decided to get the first editions of the six book series because I already had four from that year.

My Asimov collection is almost complete, aside from the other hundred books he wrote.
